ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ1

Ayah 1

Translation of the meaningThe Striking Disaster

مَا ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ2

Ayah 2

Translation of the meaningWhat is the Striking Disaster

وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ3

Ayah 3

Translation of the meaningAnd what will make you realize what the Striking Disaster is

يَوۡمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلۡفَرَاشِ ٱلۡمَبۡثُوثِ4

Ayah 4

Translation of the meaning˹It is˺ the Day people will be like scattered moths

وَتَكُونُ ٱلۡجِبَالُ كَٱلۡعِهۡنِ ٱلۡمَنفُوشِ5

Ayah 5

Translation of the meaningand the mountains will be like carded wool

فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ6

Ayah 6

Translation of the meaningSo as for those whose scale is heavy ˹with good deeds˺

فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَةࣲ رَّاضِيَةࣲ‏7

Ayah 7

Translation of the meaningthey will be in a life of bliss

وَأَمَّا مَنۡ خَفَّتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ8

Ayah 8

Translation of the meaningAnd as for those whose scale is light

فَأُمُّهُۥ هَاوِيَةࣱ‏9

Ayah 9

Translation of the meaningtheir home will be the abyss

وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا هِيَهۡ10

Ayah 10

Translation of the meaningAnd what will make you realize what that is

نَارٌ حَامِيَةُۢ11

Ayah 11

Translation of the meaning˹It is˺ a scorching Fire
