The Dawn

قُلۡ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلۡفَلَقِ1

Ayah 1

Translation of the meaningSay, ˹O Prophet,˺ “I seek refuge in the Lord of the daybreak

مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ2

Ayah 2

Translation of the meaningfrom the evil of whatever He has created

وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ3

Ayah 3

Translation of the meaningand from the evil of the night when it grows dark

وَمِن شَرِّ ٱلنَّفَّٰثَٰتِ فِي ٱلۡعُقَدِ4

Ayah 4

Translation of the meaningand from the evil of those ˹witches casting spells by˺ blowing onto knots

وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ5

Ayah 5

Translation of the meaningand from the evil of an envier when they envy.”
