The Palm Fibre

تَبَّتۡ يَدَآ أَبِي لَهَبࣲ وَتَبَّ1

Ayah 1

Translation of the meaningMay the hands of Abu Lahab perish, and he ˹himself˺ perish

مَآ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنۡهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ2

Ayah 2

Translation of the meaningNeither his wealth nor ˹worldly˺ gains will benefit him

سَيَصۡلَىٰ نَارࣰ ا ذَاتَ لَهَبࣲ‏3

Ayah 3

Translation of the meaningHe will burn in a flaming Fire

وَٱمۡرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلۡحَطَبِ4

Ayah 4

Translation of the meaningand ˹so will˺ his wife, the carrier of ˹thorny˺ kindling

فِي جِيدِهَا حَبۡلࣱ مِّن مَّسَدِۭ5

Ayah 5

Translation of the meaningaround her neck will be a rope of palm-fibre
